How to create an invoice
Enter your business and customer details, choose the issue date and add clearly described line items. Review totals in Preview, then use Download / Print PDF. Choose A4 portrait, disable browser headers and footers, and check final page breaks.
What your invoice should include
Identify both parties, use a unique document number, describe the work or goods, and show quantities, rates and currency. Include relevant references, dates and terms. Check the tax and legal details required where you operate.
Invoice vs quotation
A quotation proposes a price before work is agreed; an invoice requests payment for the supplied work or goods. Convert an accepted quotation to an invoice and review the new number and dates.
Payment terms
Choose Due on receipt or a day interval to calculate the due date. You can override it manually. Enter payment instructions and record only money actually received.
